Dr Carys Ann Davies of Bangor University’s School of Ocean Sciences takes part in the new series of the Great British Food Revival series on BBC 2, which began on Wednesday 10th October at 8pm. Raymond Blanc can not understand why we are not eating more trout as it’s both sustainable and delicious… …in Camarthen, Wales, he takes trout to the people to see how well they know their fish and in the revival kitchen he cooks three tasty trout dishes to encourage us all to seek out this fabulous fish.

Concerns over dwindling Sea Trout numbers

Concerns have been raised over dwindling numbers of sea trout, also known as sewin, on Welsh rivers. To combat the decline a £1.8m scientific study is being launched to discover more about the life and pressures on the sea trout in Wales and Ireland.
